Town Councils (Declaration of Towns) (Amendment) Order 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 3 of the Town Councils Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Town Councils (Declaration of Towns) (Amendment) Order 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st February 1997.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. Item 2 in the First Schedule to the Town Councils (Declaration of Towns) Order 1997 (G.N. No. S 14/97) is amended by deleting the words “Ang Mo Kio” in the second column and substituting the words “Ang Mo Kio Yishun”.
