Skills Development Levy
(Amendment) Regulations 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 25 of the Skills Development Levy Act 1979, the SkillsFuture Singapore Agency, with the approval of the Minister for Education, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These Regulations are the Skills Development Levy (Amendment) Regulations 2023 and, except for regulation 5, come into operation on 15 June 2023.

(2) Regulation 5 is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.

Amendment of regulation 4

2. In the Skills Development Levy Regulations (Rg 2) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations), in regulation 4, replace “remuneration” with “wages”.

Amendment of regulation 10

3. In the principal Regulations, in regulation 10(2), replace “14 days” with “2 months”.

New regulation 11

4. In the principal Regulations, after regulation 10, insert —

“Notice of objection

11. The notice of objection mentioned in regulation 10 must be made and lodged in the manner set out in the form provided by the Agency.”.

Miscellaneous amendments

5. In the principal Regulations —

(a)	in regulation 2, in the definition of “Agency”, delete “(Act 24 of 2016)”;
(b)	in regulation 16(1)(b), after “Companies Act”, insert “1967”; and
(c)	in regulation 16(1)(b), delete the marginal reference “Cap. 50.”.
