Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 22) Notification 2008

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Common Gaming Houses Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation

1. This Notification may be cited as the Common Gaming Houses (Exemption) (No. 22) Notification 2008.

Exemption

2.—(1) The Minister hereby exempts the Singapore Turf Club from the provisions of the Act in respect of —

(a)	the “Lucky Draw For Self-Betting Kiosk Promotional Activity 2008” promotion from 1st August 2008 to 31st October 2008 (both dates inclusive) and 1st December 2008 to 28th February 2009 (both dates inclusive); and
(b)	the draws on 1st September 2008, 5th September 2008, 29th September 2008, 10th October 2008, 3rd November 2008, 14th November 2008, 29th December 2008, 9th January 2009, 2nd February 2009, 13th February 2009, 2nd March 2009 and 6th March 2009.

(2) The exemption is subject to compliance by the Singapore Turf Club with the conditions stated in the letter of approval dated 24th July 2008.
