Presidential Elections (Forms and Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2005

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 81 of the Presidential Elections Act, the Prime Minister hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Presidential Elections (Forms and Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2005 and shall come into operation on 17th June 2005.

Deletion and substitution of regulation 3

2. Regulation 3 of the Presidential Elections (Forms and Fees) Regulations (Rg 1) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:

“Nomination papers

3. For the purposes of section 9(3) of the Act, the nomination paper shall be in Form P3 in the Schedule.”.

Deletion and substitution of regulation 12

3. Regulation 12 of the principal Regulations is deleted and the following regulation substituted therefor:

“Return of election expenses

12.—(1) For the purposes of section 56(1) and (2) of the Act, the return respecting election expenses and the statement by a principal election agent accompanying any such return shall be in Form P14 in the Schedule.

(2) For the purposes of section 56(2) of the Act, the statement by a candidate accompanying any return respecting election expenses shall be in Form P15 in the Schedule.”.

Amendment of Schedule

4. The Schedule to the principal Regulations is amended —

by deleting Forms P3, P4 and P5 and substituting the following Form:
