Customs (Container) (Amendment)
Regulations 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 143(1) of the Customs Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Customs (Container) (Amendment) Regulations 1998 and shall come into operation on 1st August 1998.

Amendment of regulation 3

2. Regulation 3(1) of the Customs (Container) Regulations (Rg 1) (referred to in these Regulations as the principal Regulations) is amended by deleting the words “Malayan Railway Station,” in the third line and substituting the words “Woodlands Train Checkpoint if imported by train,”.

Amendment of regulation 6

3. Regulation 6 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Malayan Railway Station” in the fourth line and substituting the words “Woodlands Train Checkpoint”.

Amendment of regulation 7

4. Regulation 7 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Malayan Railway Station” in the seventh line and substituting the words “Woodlands Train Checkpoint”.

Amendment of regulation 13

5. Regulation 13 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “Singapore Railway Station” in the second and third lines and substituting the words “Woodlands Train Checkpoint”.
