Citation and commencement |
1. These Regulations may be cited as the Education Endowment Scheme (Awards for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service) Regulations 2001 and shall come into operation on 1st October 2001. |
Definitions |
2. In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —

Establishment of Awards for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service |
3. There are hereby established the Awards for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service, a number of each of which shall be awarded annually in accordance with these Regulations out of such part of the income of the Endowment Fund as the Minister may designate for the purpose. |
Value and payment of awards |
Eligible pupils |
5.—(1) The Award for Achievement, Good Leadership and Service shall be awarded each year to every pupil of a school or junior college or a full-time pupil of a training institute who —

Principal and training manager to select eligible pupils |
6.—(1) Subject to paragraph (2), the principal of a school or junior college or the training manager of a training institute shall, as soon as possible after the completion of the year-end examinations for all pupils enrolled in the school, junior college or training institute, as the case may be, select such number, as the principal or training manager thinks fit, of pupils of the school, junior college or training institute who meet the requirements of regulation 5.
