(Prescribed Companies for Purposes of
Sections 72A and 250A) (Amendment)
Order 2024
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 72A (definition of “company”) and 250A (definition of “company”) of the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution Act 2018, the Minister for Law makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  This Order is the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution (Prescribed Companies for Purposes of Sections 72A and 250A) (Amendment) Order 2024 and, except for paragraph 3(l), is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.
(2)  Paragraph 3(l) comes into operation on 10 May 2024.
Amendment of paragraph 2
2.  In the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution (Prescribed Companies for Purposes of Sections 72A and 250A) Order 2021 (G.N. No. S 51/2021), in paragraph 2, in the definition of “securitisation special purpose vehicle”, replace “(Cap. 289)” with “2001”.
Amendment of paragraph 3
3.  In the Insolvency, Restructuring and Dissolution (Prescribed Companies for Purposes of Sections 72A and 250A) Order 2021, in paragraph 3 —
(a)in sub‑paragraph (a), delete “(Act 30 of 2015)”;
(b)in sub‑paragraph (b), replace “(Cap. 41)” with “2009”;
(c)in sub‑paragraph (c), delete “(Act 21 of 2018)”;
(d)in sub‑paragraph (e), replace “(Cap. 84A)” with “2001”;
(e)in sub‑paragraph (f), replace “(Cap. 89A)” with “2001”;
(f)in sub‑paragraph (g), replace “(Cap. 95)” with “1987”;
(g)in sub‑paragraph (h), after “Environmental Public Health Act”, insert “1987”;
(h)in sub‑paragraph (i), replace “(Cap. 116A)” with “2001”;
(i)in sub‑paragraph (j), replace “(Cap. 144B)” with “2009”;
(j)in sub‑paragraph (k), replace “(Cap. 170A)” with “1996”;
(k)in sub‑paragraph (l), replace “(Cap. 186)” with “1970”;
(l)in sub‑paragraph (l) (as amended by sub‑paragraph (k)), replace “section 40A of the Monetary Authority of Singapore Act 1970” with “section 49 of the Financial Services and Markets Act 2022”;
(m)in sub‑paragraph (m), replace “(Cap. 261)” with “2001”;
(n)in sub‑paragraph (n), replace “(Cap. 263A)” with “1995”; and
(o)in sub‑paragraph (o), replace “section 32H of the Telecommunications Act (Cap. 323)” with “section 45 of the Telecommunications Act 1999”.
