Public Entertainments and Meetings (Composition of Offences) Rules 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 21 and 23 of the Public Entertainments and Meetings Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Public Entertainments and Meetings (Composition of Offences) Rules 2001 and shall come into operation on 1st September 2001.

Compoundable offences

2. The following offences may be compounded by the Licensing Officer in accordance with section 21(1) of the Act:

(a)	an offence under section 19 (1) (a), (b) or (c) of the Act;
(b)	an offence under section 19(1)(d) of the Act read with section 12 thereof; and
(c)	an offence under section 19(1)(d) of the Act read with rule 4 of the Public Entertainments and Meetings Rules 2001 (G.N. No. S 100/2001).

Made this 22nd day of August 2001.
