Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Manpower) Notification 2002

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36(1) of the Interpretation Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Manpower) Notification 2002 and shall come into operation on 16th August 2002.

Delegation of powers

2. The Minister for Manpower, with the approval of the President, hereby deputes —

(a)	the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Manpower, to exercise the powers of the Minister under subsection (2) of section 5 of the Lifelong Learning Endowment Fund Act (Cap. 162A), in respect of authorising the income of the Lifelong Learning Endowment Fund to be paid out and expended for all or any of the purposes specified in that subsection up to an amount of less than $3 million;
(b)	the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Manpower, to exercise the powers of the Minister under section 10 of the Lifelong Learning Endowment Fund Act, in respect of authorising payment of $1 million or more but less than $3 million to be made out of the Lifelong Learning Endowment Fund; and
(c)	the Deputy Secretary, Ministry of Manpower, to exercise the powers of the Minister under section 10 of the Lifelong Learning Endowment Fund Act (Cap. 162A), in respect of authorising payment of less than $1 million to be made out of the Lifelong Learning Endowment Fund.
