Income Tax (Approved Banks) (Consolidation) (Amendment No. 8) Order 1998
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(9) of the Income Tax Act, the Minister for Finance hereby makes the following Order:
Citation
1.  This Order may be cited as the Income Tax (Approved Banks) (Consolidation) (Amendment No. 8) Order 1998.
Amendment of Consolidation Order
2.  The Income Tax (Approved Banks) (Consolidation) Order (O 32) is amended —
(a)by deleting the words “Merita Merchant Bank Singapore Ltd.” in item (35)(b) and substituting the words “MeritaNordbanken Merchant Bank Singapore Ltd”, with effect from 1st July 1998; and
(b)by deleting the words “Merita Bank Ltd.” in item (117) and substituting the words “Merita Bank Plc”, with effect from 1st June 1998.
