Parking Places (Housing and Development Board) (Amendment No. 3) Order 2009

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 9 of the Parking Places Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Parking Places (Housing and Development Board) (Amendment No. 3) Order 2009 and shall come into operation on 15th September 2009.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Parking Places (Housing and Development Board) Order (O 1, 2009 Ed.) is amended by inserting, immediately after Part XXXVI, the following Parts:

“Parking Charges:

“(1)

For a motor car or a motor vehicle the weight of which unladen does not exceed 1,800 kilograms —

(a)	pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $1 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)	pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of 50 cents per half hour (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)	$2 per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(d)	$90 per month.

(2)

For a motor vehicle with fewer than 4 wheels and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —

(a)	65 cents per day (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)	65 cents per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)	$17 per month.

(3)

For a motor cycle or a motor scooter occupying 2 motor cycle parking lots and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —

(a)	$1.30 per day (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)	$1.30 per night (between 10.30 p.m. and 7 a.m. the following day).
(c)	$34 per month.

(4)

For a motor vehicle (not being a motor car) the weight of which unladen exceeds 1,800 kilograms but does not exceed 2,000 kilograms —

(a)	pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $2 per half hour (between 7 a.m. and 10.30 p.m.).
(b)	$185 per month.

Parking Charges:

(1)	For a motor car or a motor vehicle the weight of which unladen does not exceed 1,800 kilograms —
	Pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $2 for the first half hour and $4 for each subsequent half hour.
(2)	For a motor vehicle with fewer than 4 wheels and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —
	Pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $2 for the first half hour and $4 for each subsequent half hour.
(3)	For a motor cycle or a motor scooter occupying 2 motor cycle parking lots and the weight of which unladen does not exceed 400 kilograms —
	Pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $2 for the first half hour and $4 for each subsequent half hour.
(4)	For a motor vehicle (not being a motor car) the weight of which unladen exceeds 1,800 kilograms but does not exceed 2,000 kilograms —
	Pro-rated on a per minute basis at the rate of $2 for the first half hour and $4 for each subsequent half hour.”.
