Town Council of Pasir Ris (Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment) By-laws 1997

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Town Councils Act, the Town Council for the Town of Pasir Ris hereby makes the following By-laws:

Citation and commencement

1. These By-laws may be cited as the Town Council of Pasir Ris (Conservancy and Service Charges) (Amendment) By-laws 1997 and shall come into operation on 1st October 1997.

Deletion and substitution of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Town Council of Pasir Ris (Conservancy and Service Charges) By-laws 1997 (G.N. No. S 236/97) is deleted and the following Schedule substituted therefor:

8.	Executive apartment or maisonette

9.	Shop with living accommodation

$1.45 per square metre of the area of the shop subject to a minimum of $50 in addition to the conservancy and service charges of equivalent room type.

10.	Shop without living accommodation

$1.45 per square metre of the area of the shop subject to a minimum of $50.

11.	Kiosk or shoplet

$1.45 per square metre of the area of the premises subject to a minimum of $50.

12.	Premises for use as —

(a)	Child Care Centre and Family Service Centre approved by the Ministry of Community Development, PAP Foundation Education Centre and Kindergarten

11.5 cents per square metre of the area of the premises.

(b)	Neighbourhood Police Post

75 cents per square metre of the area of the premises.

(c)	Residents Committee Centre or Citizen Consultative Committee Centre or Community Centre

No charge.

13.	Premises used for the purposes of a charity as defined in section 2 of the Charities Act (Cap. 37)

11.5 cents per square metre of the area of the premises.

14.	Other commercial property

$1.45 per square metre of the area of the property subject to a minimum of $50.
