Retirement Age (Exemption) (Amendment) Notification 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the Retirement Age Act, the Minister for Manpower hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Retirement Age (Exemption) (Amendment) Notification 2001 and shall come into operation on 15th September 2001.

Amendment of paragraph 3

2. Paragraph 3 of the Retirement Age (Exemption) Notification (N 1, 2001 Ed.) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of sub-paragraph (w); and

(b)

by deleting the full-stop at the end of sub-paragraph (x) and substituting the word “; and”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub-paragraph:

“(y)	a person employed as a public officer in the Economist Service under any contract for a fixed term.”.
