(Public Cleansing) (Amendment No. 2)
Regulations 2023
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111(1) of the Environmental Public Health Act 1987, the National Environment Agency, with the approval of the Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Environmental Public Health (Public Cleansing) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2023 and come into operation on 1 July 2023.
Amendment of regulation 14
2.  In the Environmental Public Health (Public Cleansing) Regulations (Rg 3), in regulation 14(2) —
(a)after “shall convey”, insert “, or cause or permit to be conveyed,”; and
(b)replace “completely and adequately covered by a proper cover the size and design of which shall be approved by the Director‑General from time to time” with “completely covered in a manner that ensures that the refuse, sand, earth, granite chips, gravel, clay, manure, shavings, stone, straw or matter or thing is not dropped, scattered or spilled from the vehicle”.
