Immigration (Amendment)
Regulations 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 55(1) of the Immigration Act, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Immigration (Amendment) Regulations 2001 and shall come into operation on 1st October 2001.

Amendment of First Schedule

2. The First Schedule to the Immigration Regulations (Rg 1) is amended by inserting, immediately after item (iv) in Form 5, the following item:

“(v)	may be cancelled if the holder contravenes any law or is involved in any activity which threatens a breach of peace or is prejudicial to public order or public welfare.”.
