| Citation and commencement |
| 1. This Order may be cited as the Parliamentary Elections (Prescribed Date) Order 2001 and shall come into operation on 26th September 2001. |
| Prescribed date |
| 2. For the purposes of section 5 (1), (1A) and (2) of the Act, the prescribed date shall be 31st August in any year instead of 1st July. |
| Revocation |
| 3. The Parliamentary Elections (Prescribed Date) Order (O 4) is revoked. |
