(Licensing of Shared Vehicles)
(Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2019

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8S of the Parking Places Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Parking Places (Licensing of Shared Vehicles) (Amendment No. 2) Regulations 2019 and come into operation on 1 July 2019.

Amendment of regulation 3

2. Regulation 3 of the Parking Places (Licensing of Shared Vehicles) Regulations 2018 (G.N. No. S 285/2018) is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (ba), the following paragraph:

“(bb)

a licence to provide a licensable service using power‑assisted bicycles;”; and

(b)

by deleting the words “PABs and any other vehicles not mentioned in paragraphs (a), (b) and (ba)” in paragraph (c) and substituting the words “any vehicle not mentioned in paragraphs (a), (b), (ba) and (bb)”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Parking Places (Licensing of Shared Vehicles) Regulations 2018 is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (c) of item 1, the following paragraph:

“(d)	a licence for power‑assisted bicycles

$1,500”;

(b)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (c) of item 2, the following paragraph:

“(d)	a licence for power‑assisted bicycles

$750”;

(c)

by deleting “$12” in the second column of item 3(a), (b) and (c) and substituting in each case “$6”;

(d)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (c) of item 3, the following paragraph:

“(d)	a licence for power‑assisted bicycles

$6 × A for each year of the licence validity (or a pro‑rata amount based on the number of whole months if licence validity is less than a year)”;

(e)

by deleting “$30” in the second column of item 4(a), (b) and (c) and substituting in each case “$15”;

(f)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (c) of item 4, the following paragraph:

“(d)	a licence for power‑assisted bicycles

$15 × A for each year of the licence validity (or a pro‑rata amount based on the number of whole months if licence validity is less than a year)”;

(g)

by deleting “$30” in the second column of item 5(a), (b) and (c) and substituting in each case “$15”;

(h)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (c) of item 5, the following paragraph:

“(d)	a licence for power‑assisted bicycles

$15 × A for each year of the licence validity (or a pro‑rata amount based on the number of whole months if licence validity is less than a year)”;

(i)

by inserting, immediately after paragraph (c) of item 6, the following paragraph:

“(d)	a licence for power‑assisted bicycles

$750”; and

(j)

by deleting “$30” in the second column of item 7 and substituting “$15”.
