(Composition of Offences)
(Amendment) Regulations 2023
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 84(2) of the Presidential Elections Act 1991, the Prime Minister makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations are the Presidential Elections (Composition of Offences) (Amendment) Regulations 2023 and come into operation on 1 July 2023.
Amendment of regulation 2
2.  In the Presidential Elections (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2005 (G.N. No. S 503/2005), in regulation 2 —
(a)in paragraph (a), after “section”, insert “42C(1) or (2), 42E(2), 42F(2), 42G(1), 42H(1), 42I(1), 42M(2), 42N(2),”;
(b)in paragraph (a), delete “60A(3),”;
(c)in paragraphs (aa), (ab) and (ac), after “Act”, insert “as in force immediately before 1 June 2023”;
(d)in paragraph (ab), after “(Rg 3)”, insert “revoked on 1 June 2023”;
(e)in paragraphs (ac) and (c), after “Regulations”, insert “revoked on 1 June 2023”;
(f)after paragraph (ac), insert —
(ad)any offence under section 60A(3) of the Act as in force immediately before 1 June 2023;”;
(g)in paragraph (b), delete “and” at the end;
(h)after paragraph (b), insert —
(ba)any corrupt practice under section 42B(1) or (2) of the Act;”;
(i)in paragraph (c), replace the full‑stop at the end with a semi‑colon; and
(j)after paragraph (c), insert —
(d)any offence under regulation 9(4), 10(1), 11(2) or 13(4) of the Presidential Elections (Election Advertising) Regulations 2023 (G.N. No. S 470/2023).”.
