(Alexandra Hospital Shuttle Bus Service —
Exemption) Order 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act 1961, the Minister for Transport makes the following Order:

Citation and period in force

1.—(1) This Order is the Road Traffic (Alexandra Hospital Shuttle Bus Service — Exemption) Order 2023.

(2) This Order is in force for the period between 7 July 2023 and 31 August 2023 (both dates inclusive).

Definitions

2. In this Order —

“authorised driver” means an individual authorised by Leisure Frontier (S) Pte. Ltd. (UEN 200717502K) to drive a specified bus;

“part‑day bus lane” means a part‑day bus lane as described in rule 7(11) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) Rules (R 33);

“specified bus” means a bus bearing any of the following vehicle registration numbers:

(a)	PC9885Z;
(b)	PC9405B;
(c)	PC3172L;
(d)	PC8774S;
(e)	PC3710J;
(f)	PC2607G;
(g)	PC8895B;

“specified bus stop” means the bus stop bearing the bus stop number 11511 and located outside Alexandra Hospital along Alexandra Road.

Exemption

3. Rule 8(1) of the Road Traffic (Traffic Signs) Rules does not apply to any authorised driver who drives a specified bus, or causes or permits a specified bus to remain, on any part‑day bus lane along Alexandra Road, for the purpose of picking up or setting down passengers at the specified bus stop.
