Casino Control (Exemption for
National Council on Problem
Gambling) Order 2016
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 198 of the Casino Control Act, the Casino Regulatory Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Home Affairs, makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Order is the Casino Control (Exemption for National Council on Problem Gambling) Order 2016 and comes into operation on 30 September 2016.
Definitions
2.  In this Order, unless the context otherwise requires —
“exempt operator” means an exempt operator within the meaning of section 2 of the Remote Gambling Act 2014 (Act 34 of 2014);
“member”, in relation to the Council, means a member of the Council appointed by the Minister under section 154 of the Act, and includes the chairman of the Council;
“officer”, in relation to the Council, means an officer who is appointed by the Council under section 155(2) of the Act;
“relevant information”, in relation to an individual, means information on whether the individual is —
(a)subject to a family exclusion order made under section 162 or 165C of the Act;
(b)subject to an exclusion order made under section 165 or 165C of the Act; or
(c)excluded from casino premises under section 165A(1)(a) or (b) of the Act;
“secretary”, in relation to the Council, means the secretary who is appointed by the Council under section 155(2) of the Act.
Exemption
3.  Every member, secretary or officer of the Council is exempt from section 190(1) of the Act, in relation to the member, secretary or officer disclosing any relevant information of an individual to an exempt operator —
(a)upon the request of the exempt operator; and
(b)upon being satisfied that the individual consents in writing to the disclosure.
