Trade Development Board (Textile Levy)
(Amendment) Order 2000

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 11 of the Trade Development Board Act, the Trade Development Board, with the approval of the Minister for Trade and Industry, hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Trade Development Board (Textile Levy) (Amendment) Order 2000 and shall come into operation on 1st November 2000.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Trade Development Board (Textile Levy) Order (O 1) is amended by deleting sub-paragraph (2) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:

“(2) As from 1st November 2000, where textile quotas for the export of textiles to any of the countries in the Schedule are allocated by tender, the levy payable for each category of textile shall be based on the tender price bid by the successful bidder for that category.”.

Amendment of Schedule

3. The Schedule to the Trade Development Board (Textile Levy) Order is amended by deleting items (4) and (5).
