Pharmacists Registration (Amendment) Rules 1999

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21 of the Pharmacists Registration Act, the Pharmacy Board, with the approval of the Minister for Health, hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Pharmacists Registration (Amendment) Rules 1999 and shall come into operation on 1st December 1999.

Amendment of rule 5

2. Rule 5(2) of the Pharmacists Registration Rules (R 2) is amended by deleting sub-paragraph (b) and substituting the following sub-paragraph:

“(b)

has been employed in Singapore for a period of not less than 2 months in —

(i)	the National Pharmaceutical Administration, Ministry of Health;
(ii)	the Department of Pharmacy, National University of Singapore;
(iii)	a pharmaceutical firm or company approved by the Board; or
(iv)	a hospital or other institution approved by the Board.”.
