Notification 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by the definition of “hospital” in section 2 of the Human Organ Transplant Act 1987, the Minister for Health makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification is the Human Organ Transplant (Declaration of Hospital) Notification 2023 and comes into operation on 14 July 2023.

Declaration of hospital

2.—(1) Subject to sub‑paragraph (2), the Minister declares Farrer Park Hospital to be a hospital for the purposes of Part 4A of the Act.

(2) The declaration in sub‑paragraph (1) is for the purpose of carrying out any living donor organ transplant of a kidney only.
