SECURITIES INDUSTRY (EXEMPT STOCK MARKETs)
Declaration 2001
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 15(2) of the Securities Industry Act, the Deputy Prime Minister, BG (NS) Lee Hsien Loong, hereby makes the following Declaration:
Citation and commencement
1.  This Declaration may be cited as the Securities Industry (Exempt Stock Markets) Declaration 2001 and shall come into operation on 12th October 2001.
Exemption
2.  The Web.ET electronic trading platform and GS Wealth Management trading services facilities established or maintained by Goldman Sachs (Singapore) Pte for the purposes of providing a stock market for the trading of securities through the internet are hereby declared to be exempt stock markets for the purpose of the Act, subject to the conditions specified in writing by the Monetary Authority of Singapore.
