Road Traffic Act
(Chapter 276)
Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) (Amendment) Rules 2009
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111 of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) (Amendment) Rules 2009 and shall come into operation on 1st November 2009.
Amendment of rule 9A
2.  Rule 9A of the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) Rules (R 8) is amended —
(a)by deleting the word “or” at the end of paragraph (2)(c);
(b)by deleting the full-stop at the end of sub-paragraph (d) of paragraph (2) and substituting the word “; or”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub-paragraph:
(e)a licensee, being a conductor, who, on or after 1st November 2009, is at least 70 years but below 73 years of age and who has not furnished a medical certificate to the Registrar for at least one preceding year.”; and
(c)by inserting, immediately after the word “drive” in the rule heading, the word “, etc.”.
Amendment of Fourth Schedule
3.  Part I of the Fourth Schedule to the Road Traffic (Public Service Vehicles) (Vocational Licences and Conduct of Drivers, Conductors and Passengers) Rules is amended —
(a)by deleting “18-70” in the second column of item 1 and substituting “18-73”; and
(b)by deleting “16-70” in the second column of item 2 and substituting “16-73”.
