Parking Places (Provision of
Parking Places and Parking Spaces)
(Amendment) Rules 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 8 of the Parking Places Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Communications and Information Technology, hereby makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules may be cited as the Parking Places (Provision of Parking Places and Parking Spaces) (Amendment) Rules 2001 and shall come into operation on 1st November 2001.

Amendment of rule 3

2. Rule 3 of the Parking Places (Provision of Parking Places and Parking Spaces) Rules (R 5) is amended by deleting paragraph (2) and substituting the following paragraph:

“(2) In the case of the provision of —

(a)	open surface parking places and parking spaces; or
(b)	parking places and parking spaces in industrial and warehousing developments,

the developer thereof shall, immediately upon obtaining the approval of the competent authority, lodge the relevant proposals and plans with the Authority accompanied by a declaration made by a qualified person in such form as the Authority may require.”.
