Road Traffic (Temporary Private Hire Cars) (Exemption) (No. 5) Order 2006

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Transport hereby makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (Temporary Private Hire Cars) (Exemption) (No. 5) Order 2006.

Exemption

2. Section 101 of the Act shall not apply to a vehicle which bears any registration number set out in the Schedule and which —

(a)	is used as a private hire car between 9th September 2006 and 26th September 2006 (both dates inclusive) by Vehicle Rental Association for the purpose of the 2006 Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank Group;
(b)	has valid insurance cover for its use as a private hire car when it is so used; and
(c)	displays a label issued by the Registrar in such manner as he may require.
