Small Claims Tribunals
(Amendment No. 2) Rules 2017

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 47 of the Small Claims Tribunals Act, we, the Rules Committee, make the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1. These Rules are the Small Claims Tribunals (Amendment No. 2) Rules 2017 and come into operation on 1 October 2017.

Deletion and substitution of rule 2

2. Rule 2 of the Small Claims Tribunals Rules (R 1) is deleted and the following rule substituted therefor:

“Application of Rules

2.—(1) These Rules apply to all proceedings under the Act.

(2) To avoid doubt, paragraph (1) does not affect the application of Order 52 of the Rules of Court (Cap. 322, R 5) to committal proceedings before a tribunal.”.
