Broadcasting
(Television and Radio Licensing) (Revocation)
Regulations 2012
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 66 of the Broadcasting Act, the Media Development Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Broadcasting (Television and Radio Licensing) (Revocation) Regulations 2012 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st January 2011.
Revocation and savings
2.—(1)  The Broadcasting (Television and Radio Licensing) Regulations (Rg 1) (referred to in these Regulations as the revoked Regulations) are revoked.
(2)  Notwithstanding paragraph (1), the revoked Regulations shall continue to apply to and in relation to —
(a)every licence granted under section 20(1) of the Act, in respect of any broadcast television receiver or broadcast sound receiver, for any period before 1st January 2011;
(b)every broadcast television receiver or broadcast sound receiver in respect of which any licence referred to in sub‑paragraph (a) has been granted, in respect of any matter concerning that broadcast television receiver or broadcast sound receiver which occurred before 1st January 2011; and
(c)every person to whom any licence referred to in sub‑paragraph (a) has been granted, in respect of any thing which he is required, before 1st January 2011, to do under the revoked Regulations,
as if these Regulations had not been made.
(3)  Any fee for the grant or renewal of a licence, and any additional fee for the variation of a licence, that has been paid in advance under regulation 5 of the revoked Regulations, for any period commencing on or after 1st January 2011, shall be refunded to the licensee in full.
