Telecommunication Authority of Singapore (Exemption in Respect of Specified Equipment) Order 1998

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 130 of the Telecommunication Authority of Singapore Act, the Minister for Communications hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Telecommunication Authority of Singapore (Exemption in respect of Specified Equipment) Order 1998 and shall come into operation on 12th November 1998.

Exemption

2. All persons shall be exempted from section 30(1) to (5) of the Act in respect of —

(a)	telecommunication equipment that has been approved for sale by the Authority under regulation 24(1) of the Telecommunication (Dealers) Regulations (Rg 7); and
(b)	telecommunication equipment that is set out in the Fifth Schedule to the Telecommunication (Dealers) Regulations and that meets the standards and specifications approved by the Authority and published by the Authority from time to time.
