(OCBC National Championships —
Exemption) Order 2023

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act 1961, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation

1. This Order is the Road Traffic (OCBC National Championships — Exemption) Order 2023.

Definitions

2. In this Order —

“specified event” means the event known as the OCBC National Championships 2023, organised by the Singapore Cycling Federation, in respect of which a permit has been granted under section 143 of the Act;

“specified road” means any of the roads delineated by the black‑coloured line in the map set out in the Schedule.

Exemption for bicycles

3. Rules 5, 6, 7, 7A, 8, 10, 11 and 11A of the Road Traffic (Bicycles) Rules (R 3) do not apply to, or in relation to, a bicycle when it is used for the purpose of the specified event on a specified road during the periods —

(a)	from 2 a.m. to 5 p.m. on 6 August 2023; and
(b)	from 2 a.m. to 5 p.m. on 3 September 2023.
