Secondhand Goods Dealers (Exemption of Licensed Pawnbrokers) Order 2007

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 20 of the Secondhand Goods Dealers Act 2007, the Minister for Home Affairs hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Secondhand Goods Dealers (Exemption of Licensed Pawnbrokers) Order 2007 and shall come into operation on 1st December 2007.

Exemption of licensed pawnbrokers

2. The provisions of the Act shall not apply to a secondhand goods dealer who holds a valid licence granted under section 8(1) of the Pawnbrokers Act (Cap. 222).
