Pharmacists Registration Act
(Amendment of Schedule)
Order 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 73 of the Pharmacists Registration Act, the Minister for Health, after consultation with the Singapore Pharmacy Council, makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order is the Pharmacists Registration Act (Amendment of Schedule) Order 2016 and comes into operation on 1 November 2016.

Amendment of Schedule

2. The Schedule to the Pharmacists Registration Act is amended —

(a)

by deleting sub-paragraphs (g) and (h) and substituting the following sub-paragraphs:

“(g)	manufacturing and distributing medicinal products, oral dental gums and therapeutic products; and
(h)	quality assurance of medicinal products, oral dental gums and therapeutic products.”; and

(b)

by renumbering the paragraph as paragraph 1 of that Schedule, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following paragraph:

“2. In paragraph 1(g) and (h) —

“medicinal product” has the same meaning as in the Medicines Act (Cap. 176);

“oral dental gum” means a health product registered or deemed to be registered as an oral dental gum under the Health Products Act (Cap. 122D);

“therapeutic product” means a health product categorised as a therapeutic product in the First Schedule to the Health Products Act.”.
