(Amendment) Notification 2015

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2B of the Medical (Therapy, Education and Research) Act, the Minister for Health makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Medical (Therapy, Education and Research) (Approved Hospitals and University) (Amendment) Notification 2015 and comes into operation on 21 September 2015.

Amendment of paragraph 1

2. Paragraph 1 of the Medical (Therapy, Education and Research) (Approved Hospitals and University) Notification 2010 (G.N. No. S 575/2010) (referred to in this Notification as the principal Notification) is amended by deleting the word “University” and substituting the words “Medical Schools”.

Amendment of paragraph 2

3. Paragraph 2 of the principal Notification is amended —

(a)

by deleting sub‑paragraph (b) and substituting the following sub‑paragraph:

“(b)	the medical schools specified in Part II of the Schedule to be approved medical schools for the purposes of the Act.”; and

(b)

by deleting the word “university” in the paragraph heading and substituting the words “medical schools”.

Amendment of Schedule

4. The Schedule to the principal Notification is amended —

(a)

by inserting, immediately after item 9 in Part I, the following item:

“9A. Ng Teng Fong General Hospital”; and

(b)

by deleting Part II and substituting the following Part:

“Part II

APPROVED MEDICAL SCHOOLS

1.	Duke‑NUS Graduate Medical School

2.	Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, Nanyang Technological University

3.	Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore.”.
