(Exemption from sections 33, 34(1)(b) and 35)
(Amendment) Notification 2023
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 96 of the Telecommunications Act 1999, the Minister for Communications and Information makes the following Notification:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  This Notification is the Telecommunications (Exemption from sections 33, 34(1)(b) and 35) (Amendment) Notification 2023 and, except for paragraphs 2 and 3(a), comes into operation on 1 September 2023.
(2)  Paragraphs 2 and 3(a) are deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.
Amendment of paragraph 1
2.  In the Telecommunications (Exemption from sections 33, 34(1)(b) and 35) Notification (N 1) (called in this Notification the principal Notification), in paragraph 1, replace “sections 33, 34(1)(b) and 35” with “sections 53, 54(1)(b) and 55”.
Amendment of paragraph 2
3.  In the principal Notification, in paragraph 2 —
(a)replace “Sections 33, 34(1)(b) and 35” with “Sections 53, 54(1)(b) and 55”;
(b)in sub‑paragraph (b), delete “localised on‑site”; and
(c)in sub-paragraphs (c) and (d), replace “http://www.ida.gov.sg” with “https://www.imda.gov.sg”.
Amendment of First Schedule
4.  In the principal Notification, in the First Schedule —
(a)in the Schedule heading, delete “LOCALISED ON‑SITE”;
(b)replace items 2 and 3 with —
