Constitution of the Republic of Singapore
Public Service (Personnel Boards) (Amendment) Order 1999
In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 110D(1) and (2) of the Constitution of the Republic of Singapore, the President, on the advice of the Prime Minister, hereby makes the following Order:
Citation and commencement
1.—(1)  This Order may be cited as the Public Service (Personnel Boards) (Amendment) Order 1999 and shall, with the exception of paragraph 2(a), come into operation on 1st January 2000.
(2)  Paragraph 2(a) of this Order shall be deemed to have come into operation on 3rd June 1999.
Amendment of Schedule
2.  The Schedule to the Public Service (Personnel Boards) Order (O 3, 1999 Ed.) is amended —
(a)by inserting, immediately after the words “Ministry of Communications” wherever they appear in the 1st and 2nd columns of item 1, the words “and Information Technology”;
(b)by deleting the paragraph in the 2nd column of item 7 and substituting the following paragraph:
Public officers in any of the General Services holding posts in the Ministry of the Environment other than public officers referred to in item 8 or 9.”;
(c)by inserting, immediately after the words “Technical Support Service” in the 2nd column of item 8, the words “, Mechanical Support Service”;
(d)by inserting, immediately after the words “wherever posted and” in the 2nd column of item 9, the words “public officers in the Environmental Health Attendant Service, Healthcare Support Service and”;
(e)by deleting the words “Singapore Immigration & Registration Junior Service or” in paragraph (a) in the 2nd column of item 14;
(f)by inserting, immediately after item 14, the following item:
14A. Singapore Immigration & Registration Service Personnel Board, Ministry of Home Affairs.
Public officers in the Singapore Immigration & Registration Junior Service, wherever posted.
”;
(g)by deleting the word “Judiciary” in the 1st column of item 28 and substituting the words “Supreme Court”;
(h)by deleting the words “, the Subordinate Courts or the Small Claims Tribunal (including their respective Registries)” in the 2nd column of item 28; and
(i)by inserting, immediately after item 28, the following item:
28A. Personnel Board, Subordinate Courts.
Public officers in any of the General Services holding posts in the Subordinate Courts or the Small Claims Tribunals (including their respective Registries).
