Town Councils Act
(Chapter 329A)
Town Council of Aljunied (Common Property and Open Spaces) (Amendment) By-laws 2010
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 24 of the Town Councils Act, the Town Council for the Town of Aljunied hereby makes the following By-laws:
Citation and commencement
1.  These By-laws may be cited as the Town Council of Aljunied (Common Property and Open Spaces) (Amendment) By-laws 2010 and shall come into operation on 20th October 2010.
New by-law 4A
2.  The Town Council of Aljunied (Common Property and Open Spaces) By-laws (By 41) are amended by inserting, immediately after by-law 4, the following by-law:
“Drying of laundry, etc.
4A.—(1)  No person shall —
(a)hang or place or cause the hanging or placement of any washing, towel, bedding, clothing or other article in or on any common property or open space except at or on the clothes drying racks or tubes erected for the purpose of drying such washing, towel, bedding, clothing or article; or
(b)hang or place or cause the hanging or placement of any washing, towel, bedding, clothing or other article at or on the clothes drying racks or tubes referred to in sub-paragraph (a) in such manner which, in the opinion of the Town Council, causes or is likely to cause any nuisance, annoyance or inconvenience to any person within the Town or damage to any common property within the Town or the property of any other person.
(2)  No person shall hang or place or cause the hanging or placement of any mop at or on the clothes drying racks or tubes referred to in paragraph (1)(a).”.
