Regulations 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34(1) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Foreign Employee Dormitories — Control Order) (Amendment No. 6) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 19 August 2021.

Deletion of regulation 6

2. Regulation 6 of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Foreign Employee Dormitories — Control Order) Regulations 2020 (G.N. No. S 781/2020) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is deleted.

Amendment of regulation 7

3. Regulation 7 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting the semi‑colon at the end of paragraph (a) and substituting a full‑stop; and
(b)	by deleting paragraph (b).

Amendment of regulation 8

4. Regulation 8 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting “500” in paragraph (2)(e)(i) and substituting “1,000”;
(b)	by deleting the word “Major” in paragraph (3);
(c)	by deleting the words “, must not have more than 470 residents” in the Examples in paragraph (3) and substituting the words “and the requirements of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Performances and Other Activities — Control Order) Regulations 2020 are complied with, must not have more than 970 residents”; and
(d)	by deleting the words “, must not involve more than 490 residents” in the Examples in paragraph (3) and substituting the words “and the requirements of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Sporting Events and Activities — Control Order) Regulations 2021 are complied with, must not involve more than 990 residents”.

Amendment of regulation 14

5. Regulation 14 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “symptomatic cases, suspected of being carriers or infected with an infectious disease, or are otherwise” in paragraph (a).

Amendment of regulation 15

6. Regulation 15 of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “who is a symptomatic case or infected with COVID‑19 must, without delay after he or she is known to be one” and substituting the words “must, without delay after he or she is known or suspected to be infected with COVID‑19”.
