Regulations 2021

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 34(1) of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) Act 2020, the Minister for Health makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Performances and Other Activities — Control Order) (Amendment No. 12) Regulations 2021 and come into operation on 19 August 2021.

Amendment of regulation 2

2. Regulation 2(1) of the COVID-19 (Temporary Measures) (Performances and Other Activities — Control Order) Regulations 2020 (G.N. No. S 927/2020) (called in these Regulations the principal Regulations) is amended —

(a)

by deleting the definition of “business event” and substituting the following definition:

“ “business event” means a business event to which Part 2 of the COVID‑19 (Temporary Measures) (Business Events — Control Order) Regulations 2021 (G.N. No. S 278/2021) applies;”; and

(b)

by deleting the word “Major” in paragraph (e) of the definition of “Control Order”.

Amendment of regulation 7A

3. Regulation 7A(1) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting sub‑paragraph (a).

Amendment of regulation 9

4. Regulation 9 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting “30” in paragraph (a) and substituting “50”;
(b)	by deleting the words “(but not exceeding 50)” in paragraph (b); and
(c)	by inserting, immediately after the words “approving authority” in paragraph (b), the words “under regulation 19(1)”.

Amendment of regulation 10

5. Regulation 10 of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting “10” in paragraphs (1)(a), (b) and (c) and (1A)(a) and substituting in each case “20”;
(b)	by deleting the words “(but not exceeding 20)” in paragraph (1A)(b); and
(c)	by inserting, immediately after the words “approving authority” in paragraph (1A)(b), the words “under regulation 19(1)”.

Amendment of regulation 12A

6. Regulation 12A of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)

by deleting sub-paragraph (a) of paragraph (1);

(b)

by deleting sub-paragraphs (i), (ii) and (iii) of paragraph (1)(b) and substituting the following sub‑paragraphs:

“(i)	whom the occupier of the live performance venue knows or has reason to believe is subject to a movement control measure; or
(ii)	who refuses to comply with any contact tracing measure established or applied by the occupier of the live performance venue in order to comply with the contact tracing requirement in regulation 12 or 15(1A)(a); and”; and

(c)

by deleting the words “, (iii) or (iv), or any combination of such individuals,” in paragraph (3)(a).

Amendment of regulation 13

7. Regulation 13(1) of the principal Regulations is amended —

(a)	by deleting “500” in sub-paragraph (a)(i) and substituting “1,000”; and
(b)	by deleting “19(3)” in sub-paragraph (a)(i) and (ii) and substituting in each case “19(1)”.

Amendment of regulation 15

8. Regulation 15(1) of the principal Regulations is amended by inserting, immediately after the words “to be seated” in sub‑paragraph (a), the words “or a higher number specified by the approving authority under regulation 19(1) in relation to the particular live performance”.

Amendment of regulation 19

9. Regulation 19(1) of the principal Regulations is amended by deleting the words “under regulation 9(b), 10(1) or (1A)(b) or 13(1)(a)(i) or (ii)” and substituting the words “for regulation 9(b), 10(1) or (1A)(b), 13(1)(a)(i) or (ii) or 15(1)(a)”.
