Sewerage and Drainage Act
(Chapter 293A)
Sewerage and Drainage (Application Fees) Regulations 2001
In exercise of the powers conferred by sections 73 and 75 of the Sewerage and Drainage Act, the Public Utilities Board, with the approval of the Minister for the Environment, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Sewerage and Drainage (Application Fees) Regulations 2001 and shall come into operation on 15th December 2001.
Definitions
2.  In these Regulations, unless the context otherwise requires —
“storm drain” means a drain for the conveyance or storage of storm water and includes any structure to convey, store or measure storm water or for flood alleviation;
“telecommunication cable” means any cable of a telecommunication system.
Application fee
3.  A fee of $360 shall be payable to the Board by the owner of a telecommunication cable for every application under section 34 of the Act to lay the telecommunication cable in any storm drain.
Entering into agreement
4.  The owner of a telecommunication cable who —
(a)has been given approval by the Board to lay telecommunication cables in any storm drain; or
(b)has laid or is laying telecommunication cables with the approval of the Board, shall enter into an agreement with the Board upon such consideration, terms and conditions as the Board may determine.
