Road Traffic Act

Road Traffic (Taxi Vocational Licence Demerit Points System) (Amendment) Rules 2007
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 111 of the Road Traffic Act, the Land Transport Authority of Singapore hereby makes the following Rules:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Rules may be cited as the Road Traffic (Taxi Vocational Licence Demerit Points System) (Amendment) Rules 2007 and shall come into operation on 19th November 2007.
Amendment of First Schedule
2.  The First Schedule to the Road Traffic (Taxi Vocational Licence Demerit Points System) Rules (R 43) is amended ––
(a)by deleting “3” in the third column of item (9) and substituting “6”; and
(b)by deleting “5” in the third column of items (20) and (21) and substituting in each case “12”.
Savings
3.  Nothing in these Rules shall apply in relation to any scheduled offence committed before 19th November 2007 by a holder of a taxi vocational licence.
