Private Education (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2009

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 71(2)(l) of the Private Education Act 2009, the Council for Private Education, with the approval of the Minister for Education, hereby makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations may be cited as the Private Education (Composition of Offences) Regulations 2009 and shall come into operation on 21st December 2009.

Compoundable offences

2. The following offences may be compounded, in accordance with section 67(1) of the Act, by the Chief Executive or any officer authorised by him:

(a)	any offence under section 41(3) of the Act in connection with any failure to comply with any of the duties prescribed under section 41(1)(c) or (2) of the Act;
(b)	any offence under section 44(3) of the Act; and
(c)	any offence under section 62(4) of the Act.
