Planning
(Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 61(1) of the Planning Act 1998, the Minister for National Development makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These Rules are the Planning (Fees) (Amendment) Rules 2022 and, except for rule 2(b), come into operation on 1 August 2022.

(2) Rule 2(b) is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.

Amendment of rule 2

2. In rule 2(1) of the Planning (Fees) Rules 2014 (G.N. No. S 537/2014) —

(a)

replace the definition of “floor area” with —

“ “floor area” has the meaning given by the Planning (Development) Rules 2008 (G.N. No. S 113/2008);”;

(b)

in the definition of “monument”, replace “(Cap. 239)” with “2009”; and

(c)

delete the definition of “proposal amount”.

Amendment of First Schedule

3. In the First Schedule to the Planning (Fees) Rules 2014, delete items 26 and 36.
