(Amendment) Rules 2022

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 61(1) of the Planning Act 1998, the Minister for National Development makes the following Rules:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) These Rules are the Planning (Qualified Persons) (Amendment) Rules 2022 and, except for rule 2(b), come into operation on 1 August 2022.

(2) Rule 2(b) is deemed to have come into operation on 31 December 2021.

Amendment of rule 2

2. In rule 2 of the Planning (Qualified Persons) Rules 2017 (G.N. No. S 233/2017) —

(a)

replace the definition of “gross floor area” with —

“ “gross floor area” has the same meaning as “floor area” in the Planning (Development) Rules 2008 (G.N. No. S 113/2008);”; and

(b)

in the definition of “strata‑titled residential unit”, replace “(Cap. 158)” with “1967”.
