SMP Share Purchase Plan)
(Amendment) Regulations 2018

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 337(1) of the Securities and Futures Act, the Monetary Authority of Singapore makes the following Regulations:

Citation and commencement

1. These Regulations are the Securities and Futures (Offers of Investments) (Exemption for SMP Share Purchase Plan) (Amendment) Regulations 2018 and come into operation on 8 October 2018.

Amendment of regulation 3

2. Regulation 3 of the Securities and Futures (Offers of Investments) (Exemption for SMP Share Purchase Plan) Regulations 2006 (G.N. No. S 344/2006) is amended —

(a)	by inserting, immediately after the word “securities” in paragraph (1), the words “or securities‑based derivatives contracts”; and
(b)	by deleting the word “securities” in paragraph (2)(a)(i) and (ii) and substituting in each case the words “capital markets products that are securities or securities‑based derivatives contracts”.
