Road Traffic (Singapore Airshow 2016)
(Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2016

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 142 of the Road Traffic Act, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1.—(1) This Order is the Road Traffic (Singapore Airshow 2016) (Exemption) (No. 2) Order 2016.

(2) The period for which this Order is in force starts on 16 February 2016 and ends at 2359 hours on 21 February 2016.

Definition

2. In this Order, “EcoRider Mark‑I Personal Mobility Transporter” refers to a vehicle bearing the manufacturing mark “EcoRider Mark‑I”, that —

(a)	is designed to be used by one person;
(b)	has 2 wheels that operate on a single axis; and
(c)	is propelled by an electric motor attached to the vehicle.

Exemption

3. Rule 28(1) of the Road Traffic Rules (R 20) does not apply to an EcoRider Mark‑I Personal Mobility Transporter that is parked or ridden —

(a)	by a police officer not in uniform, when performing or discharging his or her duty; and
(b)	on any footway adjacent to Aviation Park Road, as delineated in the map set out in the Schedule.
