Town Councils (Exclusion of Property from Town Councils) (Amendment) Order 2004

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 2(2)(c) of the Town Councils Act, the Minister for National Development hereby makes the following Order:

Citation and commencement

1. This Order may be cited as the Town Councils (Exclusion of Property from Town Councils) (Amendment) Order 2004 and shall be deemed to have come into operation on 1st August 2004.

Amendment of paragraph 2

2. Paragraph 2 of the Town Councils (Exclusion of Property from Town Councils) Order (O 3) is amended by inserting, immediately after sub-paragraph (j), the following sub-paragraph:

“(ja)

land leased by the Board to any person as a site for commercial or residential development, or for a mixed development comprising a combination of commercial and residential units;”.

Amendment of paragraph 3

3. Paragraph 3(7) of the Town Councils (Exclusion of Property from Town Councils) Order is amended —

(a)

by deleting the word “and” at the end of sub-paragraph (c); and

(b)

by deleting the full-stop at the end of sub-paragraph (d) and substituting the word “; and”, and by inserting immediately thereafter the following sub-paragraph:

“(e)	Punggol Plaza.”.
