In exercise of the powers conferred by section 21, read with section 21A, of the Public Order Act 2009, the Minister for Home Affairs makes the following Declaration:

Citation

1. This Declaration is the Public Order (National Day Parade 2022) Declaration 2022.

National Day Parade 2022 is special event

2. The event known as the National Day Parade 2022, taking place at The Float @ Marina Bay —

(a)	on 9 August 2022; or
(b)	on 13 August 2022 instead of sub-paragraph (a),

is declared a special event for the purposes of Part 3 of the Act.

Special event area

3.—(1) The special event area for the National Day Parade 2022 is the area around The Float @ Marina Bay described in the Schedule.

(2) However, any land that is not a public place is not part of the special event area.

Period of special event

4. The Declaration is in force —

(a)	if the National Day Parade 2022 is held on 9 August 2022, for the whole of 9 August 2022 only; or
(b)	if the National Day Parade 2022 is held on 13 August 2022 instead, for the whole of 13 August 2022 only.
