Merchant Shipping Act
(Chapter 179)
Merchant Shipping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2008
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 213 of the Merchant Shipping Act, the Maritime and Port Authority of Singapore, with the approval of the Minister for Transport, hereby makes the following Regulations:
Citation and commencement
1.  These Regulations may be cited as the Merchant Shipping (Fees) (Amendment) Regulations 2008 and shall come into operation on 31st December 2008.
Amendment of Schedule
2.  Part II of the Schedule to the Merchant Shipping (Fees) Regulations (Rg 17) is amended by inserting, immediately after item 14, the following items:
“
15.  Issue of a certificate pursuant to Regulation 19-1 of Chapter V of the Merchant Shipping (Safety Convention) Regulations (Rg 11) to certify shipboard equipment compliance in respect of long range identification and tracking (LRIT Compliance Certificate)
 
$500.
16.  Issue of a replacement LRIT Compliance Certificate
 
$30.
