(Chapter 1)

Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Health) Notification 2001

In exercise of the powers conferred by section 36(1) of the Interpretation Act, the Minister for Health hereby makes the following Notification:

Citation and commencement

1. This Notification may be cited as the Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Health) Notification 2001 and shall come into operation on 28th December 2001.

Delegation of powers

2. The Minister for Health, with the approval of the President, hereby deputes the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Health to exercise the powers of the Minister under —

(a)	sections 2 and 8 of the Termination of Pregnancy Act (Cap. 324) and the Termination of Pregnancy Regulations (Cap. 324, Rg 1); and
(b)	sections 2 and 6 of the Voluntary Sterilization Act (Cap. 347) and the Voluntary Sterilization Regulations (Cap. 347, Rg 1).

Amendment of Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Health) (Consolidation) Notification

3. The Schedule to the Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Health) (Consolidation) Notification (N 7) is amended by deleting item 1.

Cancellation

4. The Delegation of Powers (Ministry of Health) Notification 2000 (G. N. No. S 405/2000) is cancelled.
